## Key findings
- Ag–Rh nanoparticles: palladium-like hydrogen-storage properties, not elemental palladium or gold. The 2014 NIMS release concerns electronic-structure research, not a newly invented 2026 gold-making machine.
- Eight-precious-metal nanoalloy: Kyoto University announced the research in February 2022. Gold is already an input; catalytic behaviour does not prove cheap bullion manufacture.
- Bonding wire: TANAKA's 2014 supplier announcement describes an approximately 80% precious-metal bullion-input cost comparison. It is not a current quote or a reduction in complete-device costs. Universal performance and economics should not be inferred.
- Higashi-Aogashima: Scientific Reports paper published July 7, 2026; the described samples were collected in 2021 and 2022. Up to 1.9 wt% concerns pyrite microanalysis, not the average grade or recoverable reserve of an entire ore body. Resource tonnage, mining feasibility and environmental authorization are distinct questions.
- CERN: its May 2025 report concerns true nuclear transformation. The 29-picogram figure covers Run 2, 2015–2018, across four experiments. Gold nuclei fragment upon striking accelerator components; it is not an available bullion stockpile or an economical supply route.
- Goldene: Swedish Linköping University research announced April 2024, involving existing gold and an adapted Japanese metalworking reagent. It is not Japanese synthesis of gold from a base metal.
- Recycling: the IOC documents recycled electronics as a source for Tokyo 2020 medal metals. Recovery of existing above-ground gold is not creation of new atoms. General recycling profitability, national recovery-rate rankings and universal phone-to-ore comparisons were not established here and were omitted.
- Japan does have a commercial gold operation: Sumitomo Metal Mining describes its Hishikari mine.
- Market context: World Gold Council full-year 2025 data published January 2026 report technology demand of 322.8 tonnes and total demand including OTC of 5,002.3 tonnes. Calculated share, rounded: 6.5%. Electronics demand: 270.4 tonnes. Central-bank demand: approximately 863 tonnes. All figures are dated 2025, not live quotes or forecasts.

## Limits
The article assesses major examples, not every rhetorical claim in the video. Some automated page extractions were incomplete or mismatched; direct retrieval of the NIMS, Kyoto, CERN, Linköping and Scientific Reports pages confirmed identities and relevant passages. Supplier economics and market estimates are attributed rather than treated as universal independent findings. No price target, investment recommendation, or allegation of secret market suppression is adopted.
